Protesters picket the Choteau Public Library over the choice of Mrs. Bob Nauck as librarian. The move followed the resignation of Mrs. Sherman and drew comments from officials about nepotism and board procedures. Deputy AG Huss said a nepotism inquiry will be opened while Ms Burch continues picketing.

Polio Vaccination Clinic Slated Across County Schools

Trick or Treat Move Recommended by Chateau Chamber

The Chateau Chamber of Commerce advises children in the area to conduct Halloween trick or treat on Saturday night Oct 30 instead of Oct 31. Trick or treating will align with the Halloween Carnival in the city park pavilion and help parents get children to bed on their regular hour before Sunday school.

Chink Season Opens Saturday With Hen Quota

Chink season begins Saturday October 23 at 12 noon with a limit of three birds including one hen. Hungarian and chukar seasons reopen same day and run to November 28. Capers Date Set for Chamber Capers November 20

The Chamber Capers will be held Saturday November 20 with co chairmen George Higgins and Leonard Blixrud announcing the date. The event, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, showcases about 12 acts in a two hour show and awards several gift certificates.
