Canadian 4th65 Traffic Fatality Claims Scarrett
Donald Scarrett age 19 of Olds Alberta died from multiple internal injuries and a broken neck after his car left U S Highway 89 about 17 miles north of Chateau. Passenger John Ramsey 29 of Nanton Alberta escaped with a cut hand as a guard rail penetrated the car. Both men worked on a Del Bonita road job near the Canadian border and the body was sent to Mountain View Funeral Home in Olds.

City crews lay 356 feet of storm drain from the new post office on First Street NW toward the Legion club and alley, tying into a storm sewer by the Montana Power Co. office. The system will drain Main Street and eliminate a lake at First Street and First Avenue NW caused by a clogged or frozen line, with completion expected today per City Engineer Bob Erickson.

Youths to be Charged In Auto Fatality
Two Conrad youths aged 19 and 20 Keith Malley and Jackie Miller will be charged this week in Chateau justice court over the August 22 auto crash that killed Dr. Gertrude Roskie of Bozeman and Gilbert Aakre of Conrad. A 16-year-old, Robert Strahan, may also face charges after review with the highway patrolman. A coroner jury found negligence as a cause of the accident five miles north of Dutton.

Final Services Held Yesterday For Mrs Price
Funeral services for Elsie Price were held yesterday at Banks Funeral Home with Rev Marlow Engberg officiating. Burial in Chateau cemetery followed the Shelby hospital death on October 18 after a stroke. Born March 22 1882 in Chicago she married Harry Price in 1904 and they moved to Teton county in 1914. Survivors include daughter Mrs Pat Donovan Waneta. Pallbearers included Morris Larson John Chick Sulgrove Neil Van Wichen Arnold Hanusa Howard Truchot and Carl Malone.

Final Rites Held For Former Teton Official Otto Wagnild
Otto Wagnild aged 77, longtime Teton County and state official, died October 16 after an extended illness. Born in Minneapolis in 1888, he and his family moved to Montana in 1896, later settling near Farmington and Bynum. He recalled early Teton county history and worked with Hirshberg Brothers before moving to Choteau.
