Funeral services for Julius B. Olson Teton county deputy sheriff were held Friday at Dutton High School auditorium. Sheriff J L Billings said the crowd was among the largest in Dutton for a funeral. Local and visiting clergy led the service with music by Loyd Croxford and the Fairfield quartet. Interment followed in Dutton Cemetery with officers from Cascade and Great Falls in attendance.

Margaret Stephens is appointed supervisor of the National Re-employment contact office moving from room 22 to room 19 in the Larson building. She has served the office about two years under H L Stafford and B A Roll. The county funds the office and commissioners approved the promotion this week. The new office opens today and job seekers are urged to call at their earliest convenience to prepare for upcoming work projects.

Law Catches up With Falls Man
Roy J L Atcheson of Great Falls pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor for using a set line in the Pishkun reservoir on Sept. 29. He paid a $25 fine after being arrested by Deputy Game Warden Bruce Neal. J P Freeman filed the complaint for Cascade County.

In Teton county a safflower trial is growing with J. C. Homberg and Joe Lehnerz cultivating half and four and a half acres respectively. The seed, obtained through Montana Mustard Seed Co, yielded about 20 bushels per acre from a May 17 planting, with kernels reaching 31 per pod. An oil from safflower is marketed as a linseed oil substitute, with a Chicago cracking plant planned and Minneapolis plans discussed. seed priced around 2.75 dollars per bushel.

Big Game Season Opens Next Tuesday Across County
The big game hunting season begins next Tuesday October 15 with Cha teau area plans for early hunts. Noted ranches Jack Baker Joe White Ray Gibler Howard Allum and Kenneth Gleason have signed to hunt. License tags cost one dollar plus the usual bird and fishing licenses. Elk and bear allowed in Teton county deer hunting restricted. Dearborn north fork area opened to elk hunters for full season. Sun River herd target about 500 head with past years 180 head in 1934 and 168 in 1933.

Mrs Luke Keogh of the T S Gap near Choteau announces the sale of her half section homestead to Rolind Ferris who may move there. An auction is set for Thursday October 17 with B A Roll as clerk and Con Christianson as auctioneer. Afterward she will travel to Birmingham Alabama and other southern states to visit relatives. Death of Bert Bolland Ending Dutton mystery
After five days of searching Bert Bolland, wanted for Deputy Sheriff Olson’s slaying, was found dead in a Bechtel farm field north of Dutton. The coroner’s jury ruled death by his own hand, gunshot wounds, with a 30 calibre rifle found beneath the body. Interment followed in Highland cemetery. Bolland, about 45, single, son of J. M. and Mrs. Bolland, early Diamond Valley settlers.

He was born in Norway and came to the United States 35 years ago, living in Teton county 22 years on a ranch about 12 miles east of Choteau, which he recently sold.
