Game Wardens Named to Fill Vacant Posts
Two deputy game wardens were temporarily assigned to cover vacancies in the State Fish and Game Department. City and utility group approve new underground drain route
Utility Builders inc of Great Falls reached a special meeting agreement with the city council to reroute an underground drain sewer. The line will shift from an alley along Ist Ave to run along 1st Ave N W from Jack's Carter Service to the Larry Banks houses, then north past John Dunckel, avoiding Montana Dakota Utility Co gas lines and reducing property damage. City engineer John Pe acts confirms the new route remains effective and will be laid next spring.

Dutton Deputy Aids in Capture Of Suspect
Deputy Dick Byle of Dutton helped apprehend James Young of Great Falls after a Sunday chase. Young, who had fled after entering his estranged wife’s home and shooting her, surrendered near Conrad following a highway pursuit by Patrolman Robert Blewett. Salois Held For Theft from Wrecked Car
Clarence Salois of Chateau is jailed on grand larceny charges for stealing clothing from a wrecked car after Jack Donald Fee wrecked his 1949 Oldsmobile on Highway 89 north of Bynum. A gun taken from the scene was recovered by a Great Falls motorist and turned in to the Cascade County sheriff. Salois faces district court in Chateau on October 17 along with two others charged in separate burglary case.
