Joachim Peterson eighty seven or seventy eight? The obituary states he died in Ferndale Washington after a life as Burton Beach homesteader near Choteau. He fathered ten children including A O Peterson the county sheriff and will be buried in Farmington beside his wife. Funeral at Trinity Lutheran church Choteau Monday at 2 pm with interment in Farmington cemetery.

Assistant State Extomologist Hitchcock and County Agent Halvoreen completed a grasshopper egg survey in Teton County last Thursday. Adults were abundant, egg pods were numerous in Diamond Valley and Porter Beach areas, and a serious hopper outbreak for next year is feared if weather stays favorable for egg laying. Local poison bait programs may be used, but labor for mixing and spreading will be scarce. data will guide county meetings to map control efforts.
