Teton Dairy to Close as Charles Miller Sells
Charley Swatzel of Vaughn has bought the Charles Miller ranch west of Chateau. Swatzel will take possession March 1 and a sale at the ranch is planned for Saturday. The Teton Dairy herd, run by Miller for years, will be sold with other dairy equipment and household goods. A milk shortage may follow in Chateau. Mr Miller plans major surgery in Rochester, Minnesota, and will be absent with Mrs Miller and baby.

New Tire Rationing Rules Issued by County Board

Transfers of used tires or tubes become limited after Oct 1 1942 to replacements with certificates or government transfers. Dealers face permitted transfers and price officials freeze used tire sales while rationing for essential uses proceeds.

Bulldogs Defeat Coyotes in Shelby Tilt
The Teton Bulldogs defeated the Shelby Coyotes 12 to 6 in Shelby last Friday night. With many of last year’s lettermen back, Teton outweighed Shelby and showed solid ball handling and defensive play. AAA Election To Occur Here On Nov 7
Farmers in Teton county will elect community committeemen for the Triple-A program on November 7 1942. Delegates and alternates selected at community meetings will attend the county convention in Chateau on November 21 to elect the county Triple-A committee. New committeemen take office January 1 1943. All 1942 Triple-A participants may vote.

Boys Make Good Record Feeding Beves
The 4-H calf feeding contest results show Téton County members ranking high in the state. Six calves dressed 63.11 percent, an excellent average. Calves were raised by W. D. Reiquam of Collins and fed by Robert Rice Pendroy Phil Kiltham LeRoy Howden and Russell Maxfield Fainfield. The nine prime steers topped the Great Falls sale with an average dressing percentage of 63.04, 0.07 lower than the six from Téton county.

Road work on four mile Chateau-Dutton route nears early finish
Work began two weeks ago on grading the four mile stretch from Dutton to the Crawford schoolhouse corner on the Chateau Dutton road. The project stalled for years as a feeder road needing state and federal aid. With war aid dwindling, county commissioners decided to proceed alone, much to local travelers’ gratitude.
