The Rexall Beauty shop in the Rexall drug store balcony is now Moderne Beauty in the Hirshberg building, while Pollock Beauty at the Pollock residence is now Rexall Beauty in the Rexall balcony. Moderne opened Monday with six booths and new color scheme. Miss Vivian Koch and Mrs Phyllis Thornton greeted customers with roses. Hunters Register as Big Game Season Opens Here
The opening of the big game season draws 111 hunters to the local checking station as elk season runs to December 1 and deer season to November 15. Goats remain disputed with possible county openings. new rules restrict horse camping in the North Fork Sun River area to protect elk feed.

Chateau Lions Host 49'er Open at Legion Pavilion Friday
Chateau Lions present their second annual 49 er open at the American Legion pavilion in the city park. The two-evening event Friday and Saturday features games from old times, contests for best beard and best 49 er costume, refreshments, dancing, and a fund raiser for the civic fund and the pool heating debt. Mrs George Benedett dies in Great Falls
Mrs Charlotte Benedett wife of Geo Benedett of this city died at 5 a m yesterday in Deaconess hospital Great Falls after years of heart trouble and complications. Born February 22 1880 in Milwaukee Wisconsin she was 57 on her last birthday. She came to Choteau seven or eight years ago with her husband managing the Beaupre cafe. The body is at Roberts funeral home awaiting relatives for funeral Sunday at the Methodist church with Eastern Star rites before cremation in Great Falls. The service is set for 2 p m Sunday at the Methodist church.
