Texaco Bulk Plant Improvements Underway in Choteau
Improvements valued around 1000 to 1200 dollars began Monday at the Texaco bulk plant along the Great Northern right-of-way in Choteau. Monarch Lumber Co. holds the contract. The main warehouse will be moved 15 feet north toward the street and enlarged with new pumps between the warehouse and tanks. A plant fence and additional platforms are planned along with other site work.

WM Luther Dies in California at 85
A letter from M. K. Luther of Santa Rosa informs that William D. Luther, 85, died September 23 at Van Nuys after two months illness. A former Choteau resident and longtime county worker, he left the ministry before 1908 and held roles from storekeeping to county poor farm head. Survivors include widow, four sons and a daughter. Interment at Forest Lawn Glendale followed услуги.

Fred E. Smith, 76, longtime educator in North and South Dakota and a former grand master of the North Dakota Odd Fellows, died at his Dutton home Sunday after years of ill health. He served as school superintendent in Wahpeton and Fargo and led the State School of Science in Wahpeton. Funeral Tuesday in Dutton with Masonic rites. pallbearers named. Association Shipments Move Cattle to Chisago
The Teton County Shipping association sent two carloads of mixed cattle Tuesday over the Great Northern to Chisago. Officials plan another shipment next week and ask interested shippers to notify the county agent.
Fairfield man arrested at dance over peace disturbance
Joe Johnson of Fairfield was arrested Saturday night during a dance for disturbing the peace and forfeited a $10 bail bond by failing to appear before Justice J. Jackson. Willis Bushman of Chateau was also jailed Saturday for the same offense and paid a $10 fine on a guilty plea. Both arrests were by U. S. Marshal Delle.

Luinstra family seriously injured in auto crash near Wolf Creek
Jacob Luinstra and family members suffered injuries when their car crashed near the Rock Creek bridge on Highway 33 about 8:30 Sunday evening. Clyde Kraber has leased the Texaco service station in Chateau, becoming the city’s first operator in years. He leaves Wallace Motor Co to pursue independent business, succeeding W T R Weaver. The station, originally Teton Service, was among Choteau’s first fill stations and introduced the neon sign. Mr and Mrs Halfdan Lindseth arrived from Seattle after a telegram said Mrs Steve Lindseth was seriously ill at Maynard hospital. Lindseth a foreman with Elliott Construction Co of Seattle had not visited Chateau in 10 years. His mother's condition improved enough for him to return.
