Stored Goods Must be Moved From Building

Residents with items stored on the second floor of the Dale Implement Co building are urged to reclaim them immediately. Wasatch Oil Co uses the space and must clear room by November 1. Instructors Honored at Chateau Public School Party

Teachers in the Chateau public school system were honored at a community party in the Lions clubrooms. About 150 people attended as United Council of Church Women hosted the event with readings songs and gifts for teachers. The program featured vocal numbers readings by local performers and a balloon box prize.

Church Artist To Give Recital At Dutton Here

Orden Sime renowned church artist and instrumentalist will present a two part recital at Trinity Lutheran church in Chateau on Oct 14 and at Dutton high school auditorium on Oct 13. No charge. free will offering to support his concert tours to army and navy hospitals. Sime, a 60 minute program of sacred music, has traveled 29 years through 44 states and given over 12,000 concerts.

Duck Hunting Starts Tomorrow in Teton County

The duck season opens tomorrow at noon and runs to October 21 with daily shooting hours 30 minutes before sunrise to one hour before sunset. Daily limits are 10 ducks or four geese, with a possession limit of 20 ducks and four geese. Pheasant season runs October 31 to November 11 from 8 AM to 5 PM, with three cocks allowed per day and three in possession, and guns must be plugged to three shells for both duck and pheasant hunts.

Sturgis Appointed Mayor of Choteau After Hentges Resigns

K E Sturgis a retired Choteau hardware man was named mayor by the city council Monday night after John Hentges resigned. Sturgis will serve the remainder of Hentges term which ends next May and previously served as Choteau mayor in 1940. He has since retired after selling his hardware store earlier this year. The council did not appoint an extra member due to a non member filling the post.

The Teton Republican women will not meet Oct 8 but will gather Oct 18 at Oddfellow hall. Six Aircraft Take Part In Air Tour Across Western Montana

Six planes from Choteau and Dutton joined a three day Western Montana air tour meeting at Seeley Lake and Double Arrow ranch. State selective service announced that 150 Montana draftees will be provided for pre induction examinations at the induction station in Helena. The first group will report Monday Oct 11 for testing, with the remaining counties supplying quotas.
