Montana migratory waterfowl hunters can start October 6 with a 73 day goose season ending December 4 and a 75 day duck season ending December 19. Daily limits include five ducks with per possession ten, and five geese with up to two dark geese. imports from Canada limited to five geese and ten ducks per week with export permits.

Savik Sued for 436 34 Damage in Ohio District Court

State Highway Picnic Ground Proves Popular
Fifteen hundred seventy one tourists registered at the State Highway picnic grounds five miles north of Chateau on U S Highway 89 this past season. Sister of Choteau Woman Killed in Train-Car Mishap
Mrs. Paul Galey of Battle Mountain Nevada was killed instantly when her car was struck by a train at Idaho Falls Idaho while returning home from Choteau after bringing her mother to visit. Funeral Held Tuesday for E. Arensmeyer
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran church for Ernest Arensmeyer 63 who died September 29 at Teton Memorial Hospital. The service was led by Rev A Bernard Gravdal with Banks Funeral Home in charge burial followed at Chateau cemetery. He was born November 18 1892 at Beatrice Nebraska and moved to the Farmington Chateau area in 1911. He farmed here and ran an implement business and was active in the Lutheran church serving as local church Brotherhood president. He is survived by his mother wife Agnes four daughters and five sons plus 24 grandchildren and numerous brothers and sisters.

In Justice William Irwin's court Thomas Berry Pendrey and extra gang worker were fined 60 dollars and costs for disturbing the peace. Floyd Hill of Muskogee Oklahoma received 150 dollars and costs for driving while intoxicated. Bear Guilty Not for Killing Bear In Season
In Justice Irwin's court Dick Allum was acquitted of killing a bear out of season. Needing meat after three trespasses in two days he shot the bear at the Alum camp on North Fork of the Teton. Warden and game officials filed charges, but Rathbone precedent and Montana law supported self defense of property, leading to a not guilty ruling.
