Three Chosen for 4-H Trip to Chicago
Three Teton county 4-H members Evelyn Hodgskiss Chateau Lydia Menghini Powell and Clarence Southard Fairfield are selected for the National 4-H Club Congress in Chicago leaving Great Falls November 25 and returning December 5 accompanied by state and county club leaders. Hodgskiss has eight years in 4-H with multiple offices and judging and canning honors. Menghini completes five years with sewing foods and leadership roles and has won county and state ribbons. Southard, on a winter potato and lamb feeding project, has six years in 4-H with leadership roles and judging experience.

Attendants included Mrs Carl Magnus sister of the bride and Louis Bouma brother of the groom. The ceremony featured a blue dress with yellow roses and maidenhair fern bouquet. After a wedding dinner at Mrs Magnus home the couple planned to settle near Bole following a wedding trip.

Regnier Funeral Held Monday From Local Church
Funeral services were held Monday at the Methodist church for J. H. Regnier of Fairfield who died last Thursday morning at Maynard hospital. Rev. R. F. Vick presided. interment followed in Chateau Cemetery under Charles G. Roberts. Pallbearers were Otto Duenow, Lester Young, Martin Olson, George Caldwell, Olaf Dale and Everett Eastwood, all Fairfield residents.

Old Timers Reunion Highlights 27th Annual Gathering
At the Masonic hall the Teton Oldest Settlers held their 27th reunion with banquet, singing, and a silent necrology reading. Members welcomed new attendees from Detroit to Great Falls while officers were reelected. The evening included a floor show, Highland dances, and an all night grand march ending at 3:30 a.m. The group praised the move to October and planned to repeat next year.

F F A Boys Compete at Dutton and Plan Banquet
Six Teton FFA members plus adviser Herb Winner attended the Inter-District meet in Dutton with events in shop poultry judging and horseshoe pitching. Roy Lewis won the shop contest while Jim Peebles Arnold Neiswender and Dave Rice placed in poultry. The horseshoe team of Bob Kropp and Glenn Stott finished fourth. A Parent and Son banquet at the local high school gym is set for December 9 at 6 30 PM with home economics girls led by Mrs. McNeil to prepare and serve.

Commissioners Oppose Termination of Mail Contracts
The Teton county board of commissioners passed a resolution to oppose a plan shifting local mail service from railroads to bus delivery. The change would remove railroad contracts serving Fairfield Bole Chateau Bynum Pendroy Farmington Agawam, with proposals for star routes and expanded weekly service. The matter remains under investigation after a visit by railway mail service officials.

Montana CCC Enrollment Set For January Rally
January 20, 1938 is the tentative date for the next Montana civilian conservation corps enrollment. Applications are now being accepted by the Teton county welfare office for ages 17 to 23 in good health and willing to work six months. Applicants must allot $22 of their $30 monthly pay to relatives or deposit it with the CCC finance officer if no dependents. The Montana quota rose from 753 to 768 due to excess applications. 804 selectees were examined with 46 rejected. Teton county sent 25 selectees, only one rejected.

Intertroop Rally Highlights Scout Achievements
About 125 Boy Scouts from Conrad Augusta and Choteau gathered last Friday night in the high school gym for an intertroop rally that drew adult speakers and visitors. Chateau troop 51 won with 34 points, while Conrad troop 31 trailed with 26. The program included an investiture service and a court of honor with eight boys taking the Scout oath, advancement to ranks, and merit badge awards presented by K E Sturgis and other officials.
