Leaders and assistants of Teton county 4-H clubs will meet Saturday December 11 at the court house in Chateau for the annual council meeting. Old and new leaders will attend, with reports on fairs demonstrations judging contests finances recreation and 1937 completions. The 4-H luncheon follows at noon.

Teton county held a successful recreation school at the county high school during Thanksgiving week. Jack Knapp led dramatic training sessions with 66 participants from the county averaging 55 daily attendees. The county hhautauqua committee plans a library of plays and skits at County Agent Fred Wilson's office for interested organizations and individuals.

Christmas Seal Sale Begins under County Leadership
The Montana Tuberculosis Association launches its annual Christmas seal drive led by Henrietta Crockett executive secretary. In Teton County, Mrs. A. W. Walker of Fairfield chairs the effort with coordinators in all communities. Proceeds fund county nurse salaries and other duties, continuing a health program that includes tuberculin testing of 7,974 high school students in 19 counties, with 12 percent having prior contact with active TB cases.

County Agent Fred Willson announces a series of 13 community meetings to present the why and changes of the 1938 Agricultural Conservation Program. Both men and women are urged to attend as agricultural planning involves home and farm. A three member community committee will be elected and a representative on the County Planning committee. The annual Christmas turkey shipment by the Teton County shipping association will be on December 9 at the American Legion pavilion in the city park. H. J. Moon of Pendroy will be the official grader. The crop is light, with one shipping day and generally fair prices. Merz Sells Roller Skating Equipment for Conrad Rink
Roller skating at the county high school gymnasium ended abruptly when Joe Merz sold his entire rink equipment to W A Thaanum, who is opening a rink in Conrad. Thaanum installed a new floor in a vacant garage and plans to operate with Merz assisting briefly. Merz may work in North Dakota and later consider new equipment to resume the business.

Local Fish Planting Reaches Nearly Half Million Here
Between May 1 and October 12 this year the Teton County Sportsmen's Association reports 495,966 fish stocked in local lakes and streams around Chateau and adjacent areas. The Great Falls hatchery, under foreman Phil G. Bottler, supplied fingerlings up to six inches and plans spring planting of native trout in the Teton River. Several waters required pack transport, assisted by local ranchers, with a detailed list of waters, species, and counts including rainbow, native, and grayling stocks totaling 495,966.

Eight Teton county men were summoned for jury duty in the U. S. district court under Judge Charles N. Pray at 10 a m Monday. Four excused included public officials N W Edwards county commissioner Elmer C Smith deputy county treasurer A W Walker irrigation chief and Gus Thompson city fire chief. The jury pool reflects several officials and multiple cases on federal law violations were heard. Judge Pray noted migratory bird law fines of 1 each for six hunters and urged hunters to review new regulations before hunting.

They are joined by son Charles and daughter Lois from Teton County High School. Hallberg worked for Adams Oil Co. and the Chateau garage before Breen Oil Co. sale. They will visit his mother in Warren Oregon before deciding on future work. The Hallberg home in Hobson addition has been sold to Joe Fallon.
