Wiggerman Sentenced for Grand Larceny at State Pen
Judge John J. Green sentenced Frank Wiggerman to one to two years in the state penitentiary at Deer Lodge after he admitted stealing two truck loads of wheat from C. W. Johns of Pendrey. The grain, valued around 125 dollars, was sold to the Rocky Mountain Elevator company. Undersheriff J. L. Billings delivered the prisoner to Deer Lodge.

Mary Helen Smith widow of W. T. Smith and mother of Fred Smith died Wednesday morning around 9 after a paralytic stroke. She was 68, born July 11 1860 in Chanaban Illinois. Funeral plans were undecided pending word from relatives possibly at the Methodist church.

Teton Exhibits to be Seen at Livestock Exposition
Two barley samples, two wheat samples and one oats sample are submitted for the International Livestock Hay Grain and Seed show in Chicago next month. Submitters include L G Passmore and Herman Schwertz for wheat, Charles Schreiner and Paul Mathis for barley, and Charles Schreiner for oats. Samples were collected by Great Northern railroad with County Agent Robert Clarkson and will be hand picked by Great Northern's agricultural development office in Helena. Clarkson notes local winners may be rare as prize winners usually train long and dedicate time to producing show stock.

The year’s total is set at 414 660.34 versus 395 950.47 last year, with 15 000 more from higher school district levies. First half real property and all personal property taxes are due by the 30th.

William Hamilton aged sheep herder dies Monday at Chateau hospital after two weeks of heart trouble. Last employed by Mrs Gee at Pendroy as a sheep herder, he was brought to town and registered at the Beaupre hotel before hospitalization. Burial occurred at Chateau hospital at county expense.

The Associated Press notes Bud Burns freshman at the State University scored for the Grizzly Cubs in a 22 to 2 victory over the Bobkittens in Missoula last Saturday. Burns, son of C W Burns, was a standout at Teton High and earned all state honors in 1927 as left halfback. The Bobkittens have beaten the Cubs for four consecutive years.

Jump Hotel Bill and Their Arrest Follows
On complaint by Mrs. Lewis Thompson of the Chateau hotel a warrant was issued for Warner W. Hill and Cliff Carley. The pair, musicians, performed at the Social Center hall and left without paying 38 dollars for four nights. They faced a misdemeanor charge in J. G. Jackson's court but were arrested in Neihart by Cascade county authorities and brought to Great Falls where they settled the bill and costs.

The Teton County Shipping Association announces turkey handling from December 3 to 6 with receiving grading and loading at Pendrey Chateau Collins Dutton and Power on specified days. Last year 238 boxes totaling 49 007 pounds were shipped to the highest bidder, with Northern Creamery of Great Falls the winning bidder and prices ranging from 32 to 42 cents per bird.
