Rites Held For Victim Of Auto Crash

Funeral services were held for Ray M. Talifson 49 of Great Falls who died in a one car crash west of Lincoln on Nov 3. Military honors were given at Our Lady of Lourdes Church with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Talifson a nephew of Julia Monkman and cousin of Mildred Pihl Agnes Bradley Mabel Hayes and Joe Talifson of Chateau. Survivors include his widow Irene M. Talifson.

Proponents rally for Teton County rest home bond issue

A citizen committee led by Walter Doheny is formed to support a Dec. 4 bond vote to fund an addition and replacement of the county rest home facilities. Harriett Morgan is secretary-treasurer. volunteers will be recruited across precincts to advocate passage as the county seeks to avoid higher future costs for aged and indigent care.

Boy Scout Fund Drive To Begin Soon In Choteau

The Boy Scout yearly fund drive will begin soon in the Choteau area. R W Gormley is fund drive chairman with Les Otness as co chair. About 60 Choteau boys are in the Cub program and 51 in Scouting. An Explorer group may recharter soon. Gormley notes funding supports Camp Napi and related activities.

Plans for ARC private rest home near Chateau revealed

ARC Corp led by Russell Sewell and Art Tavary unveiled plans to build a private rest home in Cut Bank with space for about 60 patients at two potential sites east of Chateau. The project costs near a quarter million dollars and would create roughly 26 payrolls in Teton County. Public meetings are set to explain the plan and field questions, with sessions in Pendroy, Dutton, Fairfield, Greenfield, and Power on upcoming dates.
