The Milwaukee railroad awards the Great Falls to Agawam extension contract to the Twohy firm. C I Healy will lead construction from Great Falls, with crews starting as soon as possible. The line runs 66.7 miles from Great Falls via Chateau to Agawam with limited heavy work and 50 tunnels.

Following the resignation of Receiver Chas Wilson and the dismissal of Maj by L Barnes, a new administration began last week at the Great Falls office. James W Roberts, noted real estate and insurance man, becomes receiver, while Julius Co Peters, a young city attorney, is commissioned as register. The pair assumed duties on November 1.

Oliver Wilson to attend Montana Grange meeting in Bozeman

News from the state reports Oliver Wilson of Illinois Master of the National Grange will visit Montana for the State Grange meeting during Farmer's Week and Country Life Convention in Bozeman. Montana's Cowboy band heads to Minneapolis for the Montana exhibit at the land show November 12 to 23. Helena citizens raise funds to support the booth with Bil Prot, the Cowboy of Caruso, expected to draw visitors and showcase Montana resources.

Roy Putman Returns From Sun River Hunt

Additional Local Roy Putman arrived Saturday night after a two week hunting trip in the Sun river country. There is one less sheep in the hills as a result of Roy's outing. Mrs. Wmn Wiseman of the beach east of town was operated on by Dr McGregor Saturday morning and is improving. Murdock McLeod visits from Lethbridge for the winter and voted in the local election.

Ed Mathee is found dead near Browning. Coroner Connor investigates a Shelby-area death as well.
