Corbett Angus Cattle Sale Set for Wednesday at Cha teau Ranch
Corbett Angus Ranch announces its second annual Fall Production Sale for Wednesday November 8 at the Cha teau area ranch. The sale opens at noon in a pavilion with seating for about 500, featuring 45 cows with calves, 81 bull calves, and 65 heifer calves sired by top Angus bulls. Sheriff’s sale nets Davison property to bank and buyer
The Villager building and a three bedroom house owned by John Davison sold at a sheriff’s auction in Chateau. First National Bank of Great Falls bought the building for 28519.99 plus 1967 taxes 1097.32. Bert Guthrie purchased the house and 1.39 acres for 15200 plus 280.22 taxes. Other bidders included Knudtzon Lumber Co., Jake Luinstra, and the bank. The sale followed bankruptcy filings from the Davisons two and a half years earlier.

Funeral services for Mrs L Menghini in Power
Mrs Louis Adalorata Menghini 81 of Power died Monday in a Great Falls hospital. Requiem Mass was held at Guardian Angel Church Power with burial in Mount Olivet Great Falls. She was born November 4 1885 in Austria and came to Montana in 1906. Her family farmed in Power area until 1946 before moving to town. Surviving are her husband two daughters two sons a brother and sister in Austria and 13 grandchildren four great grandchildren.
