Tri nity Lutheran Bible School announces a week long vacation program starting Monday and ending Friday June 9. Classes run 9 11 30 am and 1 3 pm with morning sessions except the first three. A $1 family charge applies. A city park picnic is set for Saturday at 10 am, mothers invited with sack lunches. Nursery staff and classroom assignments include Joyce Curtis Lois Davison June Curtis Mrs Carl Ex Jund Joann Moore and others.
St Josephs Parish announces religious vacation school classes in Choteau Augusta and Pendrey starting next week. In Choteau Mass opens at 9 am Monday with Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth as teachers. Classes run two weeks ending with a First Communion Mass and picnic.
In Justice Sulgrove's court Shirl Smith paid 15 dollars for speeding. Hans Peterson defaulted 15 dollars for a drunken and disorderly charge. James H Beadle paid 10 dollars for improper license plates. Darrel W Fisher paid 2 dollars for improper truck parking. State patrol cases: Everett Brewer paid 10 dollars for improper markings. JE C Hensley paid 10 dollars for no valid license. Bob Swartzel paid 10 dollars for truck with defective lights. Robert Telzman paid 10 dollars for no proper license. Douglas Crary paid 10 dollars for no truck registration. Paul Many Hides forfeited 10 dollar bond for no valid license. Robert L Heppner forfeited 10 dollar bond on a similar charge.
The United States Supreme Court upheld the right of County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation committees to enter farms and measure wheat acreage to verify compliance with allotments. The decision announced May 14 refused to modify the Court of Appeals ruling affirming the ASC right, stemming from a 1955 Maryland case.
Mrs. Eugene Nelson and Mrs. Kenneth Chevalier were in Great Falls as visitors last Monday, seen at local events and gatherings.
The Chateau Chapter of Jaycees holds its first annual Kids Fish Derby Sunday June 3 from 7 a.m. to 12 noon with two age groups. Ages 6 to 9 fish from Breen Oil bulk plant bridge to the car rodeo grounds bridge while ages 10 to 12 fish from Milwaukee Railroad bridge to Breen bridge. Parents may accompany children and entrants must register at all area bridges to be eligible for prizes including three prizes per division and booty prizes.
The potluck dinner sponsored by the Teton Republican club and the Teton Women's Republican club moves from the Methodist church basement to the Odd Fellows' hall tomorrow at 6 30 p m. More than 800 Lions from District 37 Montana and Alberta are set to attend the Lions International convention in Kalispell. Attendees include District Governor H W Bateman District Secretary Leon Murphy Choteau Lions secretary C G Monkman and wives.

County ASC chairman C. B Turnbull announced that farmers with farms where no wheat was seeded for grain in 1954 55 and 56 may apply for 1957 wheat farm acreage allotments. Applications for winter wheat next harvest are due by July 2 1956 at county ASC offices. A later period will be set for farms expected to plant spring wheat. The form must cover all farming operations and questions should be answered to aid committee members in deciding allotment needs.
C B Turnbull announced that 527 requests have been filed with the county office for cost-sharing under the 1956 Agricultural Conservation program. They cover practices such as permanent vegetative cover, vegetative cover in crop rotation, contour stripcropping, field stripcropping, establishment of trees or shrubs, and rangeland vegetation.
Remodeling is under way for a new self-service laundry in a tile and brick rear garage beside the Chateau Hotel. Russell and Rose Frisell own the property and will run the business with modern facilities, attendants, and potential 24 hour operation if demand rises.

Thomas C. Rogers age 60 died Tuesday of a heart attack while mowing his lawn. Funeral services set for Saturday at 2 pm from First Methodist Church with Rev Grant S. Moore officiating. He was born June 12, 1895 in Jackson Missouri and lived in Chateau, Montana. Survivors include sister Ruth Moser and brothers Cleo and Webster. Graveside military rites will be by Company F 163d Armored Cavalry Montana National Guard. Burial in Choteau cemetery.
