Tickets for the Messiah with community day events attract inquiries from distant residents. The high school auditorium will host the performance with eight to nine hundred seats. Merchants, Monday Musical club, and the Woman's club sponsor a July event page ad. Handel wrote the Messiah in 23 days in 1741, from August 22 to September 14.
A summary of the second part of The Messiah from Standard Oratorios by Geo P Upton. It details the majestic choruses and arias such as Behold the Lamb of God He Was Despised and And the Lord Hath Laid on Us All, leading to the Hallelujah finale and notes the London 1743 performance where the audience rose for Hallelujah.
The Eckel Motor Co of Shelby opens a Choteau office in the Bair building on Main Ave to handle Ford cars trucks and tractors. The space for stock is rented from T. H. Given in the Pioneer Garage building with Ed. Bammel in charge.

A district court suit in Great Falls seeks to foreclose property of the Flowerree Sheep and Horse Co. Montana Trust & Savings Bank of Helena sues over a $15,000 bond issue drawing 7 1/4 percent interest unpaid on principal and interest. The property along Sun River spans 25 miles across Cascade and Teton counties.
With six precincts heard, about twenty five percent of county registrants voted. Coolidge led McAdoo 262 to 82 in available precincts, while county totals show 3356 Coolidge votes and 1897 McAdoo votes. Republican and Democratic delegates and electors listed for state and district contests.

Mrs. Nancy C. Phipps died of heart failure in Seattle on Friday May 15 19 4. She was an old settler of Chateau and Belleview communities and left six children: Mrs Jennie McPherson Mrs Florence Duval Mrs Julia Hendricka Cecil Clarence W and Gerald Jerome Phipps all of Seattle. She is survived by husband W J Phipps.
The American Legion will honor fallen comrades with services and grave decorations. Members gather at the Stockmen's Bank corner at 10 30 and march to the cemetery. city lodges are invited to join the procession and graves will be decorated after services.
Prof Julian D Ray has resigned as principal of the Chateau Public Schools and handed his resignation to the board this week. He and Mrs Ray plan a short visit to Columbus Montana before a trip to Illinois for part of the summer, returning to Montana in early fall.

Wm. Hodgkiss of this city announces the marriage of his son William E Hodgskiss to Winifred Richards both teachers in White Sulphur Springs schools. The ceremony occurred Saturday May 24 1924 and the couple left for Powell Wyoming for a short honeymoon before pursuing courses at Oregon State College in Corvallis.
A fiery cross formed by a kerosene-soaked burlap bundle was erected on Prospect Hill about a mile and a half southwest of Great Falls Monday night. Residents reported normal traffic and no signs of a large Ku Klux Klan presence despite the town's reputed large organization.
Petition drives are under way across the state to place a bank depositor guarantee law on the ballot. The measure would take effect January 1, 1927 and requires eight percent of voters from the last election to sign. The Fifth NDistrict Bankers' convention at Great Falls last week opposed the proposal.
The Universal film Blunting Big Game in Africa shows at the Hoyal theatre for two days starting Friday. Made by H. A. and Sidney Snow during an Oakland Museum expedition, the footage features elephants towering 30 feet or more. Admission is 35 cents for adults, 25 cents for high school students, and 10 cents for children.
County Agent Robert R. Clarkson reports rapid progress in suppressing the hopper pest with widespread use of poison and cooperative farming. Cool weather and light showers aided by slowing inroads, though experts warn the danger will return with warmer weather and a renewed fight is planned to exterminate or greatly retard the infestation.

Chateau Rod and Gun Club members bagged 1331 birds and eggs in a Sunday drive against predatory birds. Dr C J B Stephens led the victorious team. each losing member pays $1 into the club treasury. Total birds and ogres destroyed reach 2638 across two drives with daily teen labor.
A fire completely consumed Rosa LaMotte's residence near Power on Wednesday afternoon. Ladies Aid members at Mrs. Dull's home spotted it and rushed to assist, but interior flames prevented saving any furniture. No one was nearby to explain the blaze, and the boarded windows and locked doors left the cause uncertain.
