Death of Mrs Emily Truchot in Portland

Information received here of the death of Mrs Emily Truchot a former Chateau resident at her Portland Oregon home on Friday May 16 1924 pneumonia was the immediate cause she would have been 69 next October she is survived by four sons and three daughters and by her husband Francois Truchot who died in 1969 burial was in Portland former residents and neighbors recall her civic interests and community work with respect for her memory

Community Club Plans Another Drive Against Vermin

At the Chateau Rod and Gun club meeting held Tuesday evening plans were laid for another shoot and drive against crows magpies hawks and other vermin. Captains Harrison Craig and Dr C J B Stephens were named for the teams and members will contribute funds to pay for birds and eggs brought to the secretary outside regular drives. M S Carpenter secretary treasurer of the Montana Sportsmen's Association and US Game Warden George E Mushbach attended and urged club cooperation and state legislation for better game management. A county stream survey will be organized to assess water temperatures and patronage for annual reporting to the State Game and Fish Commission to aid fry distribution.

Stolen Securities Recovered Teton Prisoner Linked to Canadian Heist

Johnny Reid, once jailed in Teton County on a charge tied to an attempted Fairfield bank robbery, has unearthed more stolen securities in Alberta during extradition. He resurfaced in Canada with $580,000 in Bank of Dollard bonds, while Montana’s case faltered. Reid plans to pursue business in Canada and is believed to seek liberty for aiding recovery of the assets.

Grasshoppers In Teton County Are Controllable With Early Poison

Robert Miller Injured In Auto Accident

Robert Miller suffers a broken shoulder, hip injuries and broken ribs after a Ford steering gear failure caused a rollover while he and Cora Bitting rode north on the highway. Mrs. Bitting was bruised and scratched. both were rescued and taken to Chateau hospital where Miller rested well this morning.
