Diploma Day for Teton County High Class of 1936
Forty two seniors received diplomas at Teton County High School commencement. Dr. R C Line delivered the address on education and thinking, with Irene Ericson named to the scholarship cup and ten honor students listed. Baccalaureate Address At Teton County High
The senior class of Teton County High School heard Rev Father James Sheerin deliver a frank baccalaureate address in the high school auditorium on Sunday evening. He stressed gratitude to parents and teachers and urged diligence, decency, and perseverance as students begin life’s journey.

Japanese Flair Graces Teton County High Prom
The junior class held its annual prom May 22 in the gym transformed into a Japanese garden. Decor featured rose and silver streamers, lattice walls with blossoms, lanterns and wisteria accents. Bernard Toenyes led the grand march with Fred Meadows and others following. Two Great Falls performers entertained, a banjo act by Rosi and Ellis and a toe tap dancer Ida Mae Garrison.

Choteau Hosts Three Rivers Legion Convention
The Three Rivers district American Legion and auxiliary met in Choteau with about 175 legionnaires and 225 attendees at the dance. Host post leader George A. Carroll and adjutant Halvor M. Daley guided events as John P. Healey presided the afternoon session at the courthouse. A district adjutant and several officers participated, while Ralph Porter was absent and Roy Armstrong sent a regret telegram.

Brick Front Laid for Hirshberg Building by Great Falls Crew
A crew of brick layers from Great Falls laid the brick front for the Hirshberg building this week. Pressed brick with black mortar enhances the artistic effect. Rapid progress shown as the framework nears completion and new roofing is added to the old structure.

Neon Sign Erected Before Royal Theater
A large neon sign about 18 feet high and six feet wide was set up yesterday in front of the Royal theater. The Electrical Products Co of Great Falls installed it, sending a crew here and then to Walier to erect another sign. The Royal recently underwent interior and exterior redecorating.

Oilman H. A. Lockhart Leaves Wyoming Contract for Cut Bank Drilling
Word from Cut Bank reports H. A. Lockhart, longtime rancher and oil well driller from Chateau, who had a Wyoming contract with the Wyoming Shirley Oil Co. near Medicine Bow, has instead taken a drilling job at Cut Bank.

Rebekahs to Hold District Convention Here
Arrangements are under way for the District No. 4 convention of Rebekah lodges of Montana to be held at Chateau on Saturday June 13. This marks the first meeting here since 1930. Lodges in the district include Great Falls Sand Coulee Chateau Neihart Cut Bank Walier Augusta Conrad Belo and Fort Benton. A business session precedes a program and lodge work with a competitive program to follow. Odd Fellows of the city will cooperate. Mrs. Alice Swain of Great Falls is district president and Mrs. Geo Thompson of Choteau is district vice president.
