Thirty nine graduates received diplomas at Teton County High School commencement exercises. Dr. Sheldon B. Davis of Dillon delivered the address on Keeping perspective. Awards included a scholarship at Carroll College Helena and the largest scholarship cup for Dorothy Moore.

Three Agawam men faced fines after police brushes with the law. C. M. Hart paid 50 dollars after pleading guilty to operating a motor vehicle under liquor influence and was jailed briefly. Ted Morhardt and Oscar Ogle each chose ten dollar fines and county jail time for reckless driving and intoxication, respectively, with the incidents occurring Saturday night.

Belt Miners meet Choteau All-Stars in Choteau on Sunday at 2 PM marking the season opener after a two week gap caused by a prior skirmish with Dutton. Last year’s close Belt win and return matchups set high expectations with most of Chateau’s previous lineup back and several new players likely.

Ira Chip Chipman will run the rodeo show during Choteau's three day Fourth of July celebration. Charles Chick Guthrie son of A B Guthrie starts duties as telegraph editor at the Great Falls Tribune. He arrives from Fort Knox Frankfort Kentucky and will reside in Great Falls with his family joining later. Guthrie previously worked with the Associated Press in Louisville and Kentucky capital, and has extensive Chicago area experience. Vesper Service Honors 1937 Teton County Seniors
The 1937 class of Teton county high school held a vesper service Sunday in the school auditorium. A large congregation attended as seniors received praise for the service. Program included processional invocation psalms, hymns, scripture readings, solos, and closing meditation led by faculty and student leaders.

Pioneer Pastor to Speak Sunday at Memorial Services
The Rev. J. A. Martin of Great Falls, pioneer Methodist minister, will speak at Chateau Memorial Sunday services in the church at 11 a m and again at 8 p m with stereopticon images on Early Days in Montana and Brother Van. Death near miss as Jimmy Martin escapes tanker rollover
Jimmy Martin son of Mrs. Harrison Craig narrowly survived when a tank truck rolling onto its side near Bole pinned his head under the cab. Gasoline spilled but did not ignite and rescuers freed him after about an hour with non life threatening injuries.

Sheep Burned in Fire Destroys Truck and Hauling Gear
About a dozen head of sheep died in a fire that partially destroyed a truck and hauling gear owned by 1. Fe Fields of this city. The animals belonged to Paul A Kropp who had hired Fields to move the sheep from the Mying U ranch to summer range north of Dupuyer. The fire started in a bedding roll in the rear cab compartment and was not insured.

The senior class program at Teton County High School featured an amateur night and a display of baby photos. Jim Moore MC’d the show with acts by Florence St Germaine Bernard Toenyes Kenneth Thompson and others. Gifts to faculty members followed including a wedding ring a megaphone and a scooter.
