Senior Play The Patsy Delights Teton High Audience
The senior class of Teton high presented the 38 act play The Patsy last Friday night. Miss Miriam Barnhill directed the production with farm mechanics help from M K Luther. The Harrington family interior set impressed, and the cast included Mr Bill Harrington played by Carl Maccany and Miss Grace Harrington by Dorothy Alsum. The audience gave the director and cast praise and Miss Barnhill received a bouquet from the class before the final curtain.

Auto Wreck Near Fairfield Leaves Driver Injured
A serious Saturday night crash north of Fairfield during the Sons & Daughters of Norway 17th of May celebration injured Mrs. Bertha Edwards of Great Falls. Glen Wilson, with Edwards, escaped with minor injuries as a third car overturned. a fourth vehicle aided them to Chateau for care. An earlier vehicle belonging to a Goss of Augusta stopped for repairs. the incident prompted Undersheriff Dellno to investigate an alleged robbery that proved false. Wilson works at the James Ballantine ranch.

Memorial poppies produced by veterans at Fort Harrison hospital will be sold Saturday at Pendroy Bynum and Farmington plus here to support the auxiliary's child welfare and rehabilitation work. Mrs E W Allen leads the sale with local assistants named for each location. The drive funds veteran employment and welfare programs. the poppy honors World War dead and is worn from Poppy Day to Memorial Day sunset.

Highway Improvements Planned for Main Avenue in Choteau
Mayor C W Burns announced that the state highway commission will soon undertake extensive improvements to Main Avenue in Choteau. Engineers Sanders and Lackey inspected the area and ordered the oil gravel pavement torn up and re laid with a heavier oil and gravel coating. The work will start when temperatures rise, and patches will be avoided until then. The north and south approaches will receive oiling as part of the project.

Young Man of Choteau Pleads Guilty to DUI Charge
Charles B. Lewis of Choteau son of Claude Lewis admitted guilt before Justice of the Peace J. G. Jackson to driving a car while intoxicated and without a license. He received a $50 fine suspended on good behavior and a 60 day driving privilege revocation. Undersheriff T. J. Dello pursued Lewis after a Fairfield accident involving Mrs Bertha Edwards. Lewis attempted to ram the undersheriff's car and was arrested upon return to Choteau. Lewis works at the C. C. Coffey ranch.

Clifford R. Phillips nineteen son of Mr and Mrs Wesley P Phillips of Pend rey Idaho died recently of pneumonia at Gooding Idaho. He was laid to rest Sunday afternoon in the Chateau cemetery after funeral services at the Methodist church conducted by Rev Edwin Dover with Chas G Roberts assisting. Pallbearers were Ross Looney Leonard Sheble Nerman Earles Emerson Earles Evan Campbell and James Connole.

Cheateau Country Club Adopts Two New Rulings
The Cheateau Country Club board passes two resolutions affecting memberships. Playing members cost 15 dollars with no voting rights or refund on departure, while regular members pay 25 dollars to join and 10 dollars annual dues with refundable departure. A 90 day residence requirement applies for refunds. The club invites the Conrad club for a mid month tournament and plans a spring championship similar to the fall event. Improvements to the course and greens are nearing completion. Gordon Holmes chairs the program committee and G C Core leads the greens committee.
