Train Hits Auto in Pendroy Injuring Two Men
Last Friday a Great Northern train collided with an automobile at Pendroy crossing on the main street as the train pulled into the depot. Passengers Joe Fitzpatrick and Sid Mallory, driving west from an east side elevator, were injured. Fitzpatrick suffered a broken ankle and minor cuts, Mallory a broken collar bone, broken ribs, and a cut hand. Both were taken to Chateau Hospital and are expected to recover. They reside northwest of Pendroy in Pondera county.

State Supreme Court Upholds Law On Delinquent Tax Collection
County Treasurer Elmer C. Smith received notice that under chapter 88 of the 1935 session laws, as upheld by the state supreme court, he may collect delinquent real estate taxes without interest and penalties and refund such charges on payments since March 5 following tax certificate. Delinquents must pay by December 1, 1935 to avoid interest. The ruling excludes personal property and awaits attorney general opinion.
