Parade Plans Advance for Chateau Bicentennial Pageant
At a Chateau Chamber of Commerce meeting the prize fund for this year’s July 4 Bicentennial parade will be increased thanks to a donation from the Bicentennial Commission. Officials suggest more prizes to grow participation and crown the event the biggest parade yet. The chamber urges local groups to enter floats or entries, noting nearby towns celebrate as well and outsides may be few this year.

Mrs. Juelfs Dies at 91 in Teton Nursing Home
Frances M. Juelfs of Choteau died Monday May 17 at Teton Nursing Home at age 91. Services were held Wednesday May 19 with Banks Howard Hogue officiating and music by Janet Wedum and Gale Isak.

The Government Study Commission proposes a five member district elected charter city government for Choteau to replace the current mayor council system with a city manager.
