Chateau High School lists Karen Miller and Grant Gormley as co valedictorians for the class of 1965 and names Carol Miller as salutatorian. Baccalaureate is set for May 23 at 8 p.m. in the school auditorium with Rev. William E Morley delivering the sermon. Commencement for 59 graduates is May 28 at 8 p.m. Elwood Ragar will give the commencement address. The senior roll also includes a long list of graduates led by the valedictorians.

Puppies Win Grade Track Meet At Fairfield
Choteau Grade School Pup pies clinched their fourth straight division title at Fairfield Saturday, finishing undefeated with 127 points, a record high. Shelby 82, Browning 58, Cut Bank 44, Conrad 14, Fort Benton 33, Fairfield 16. Choteau set divisional records, won two of three high point trophies, and led heavyweights with 71 points. Rudy Ameline earned high point with wins in high jump and pole vault, plus seconds in broad jump and hurdles.

A portrait of Bob McDonald with a beard by William Gebhart sits in May's 74th annual Exhibition of Professional Photography at the Statler Hilton. Gebhart's second work features Karen Kropp, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kropp, in a 968 piece show. The juried exhibit honors top photographers after screening 45,000 prints from over 11,000 U.S. and Canadian entrants.

Ada C Henderson Funeral Rites Held in Banks Chapel
Funeral services for Ada C. Henderson 81 were conducted Tuesday at Banks Chapel with Rev. Fred Crowe in charge. Born Ada Charlotte Burnham in Ledbury England on December 1 1883 she came to Dupuyer in 1915 and married Hans Christian Henderson in Great Falls in 1922. Her survivors include four sisters in Canada England and Kent England with burial at Choteau Cemetery and pallbearers named.
