Ameline gets year at Deer Lodge for horse theft
Francis Ameline of this city drew a year at hard labor in the state penitentiary at Deer Lodge after pleading guilty to stealing a black mare branded lazy YK from Martin Rose of Spring Valley west of Chateau. Judge R. M. Hattersley imposed the sentence and Ameline declined counsel. Witnesses named but not sworn included Undersheriff J. L. Billings, Stock Inspector Hugh Myles, and Martin Rose.

A. B. Guthrie, principal of Teton County High School, announced the school has been accredited by the North Central Association for the period ending March 17 1933. The association reviews annual lists of approved schools and requires meeting standards in facilities, libraries, laboratories, records, graduation requirements, teacher qualifications, class sizes, physical education, and athletic relationships as set by the state. The North Central Association includes twenty states and is the largest regional accrediting body in the United States.

J G Jackson learned by wire from Seattle that Byron Corson, early Montana settler and longtime Cottonwood Camp W O W member, died in Seattle of paralysis. He moved to Montana in 1886, ran a fruit stand, jewelry shop, and once a blacksmith, with ties to local media and the Rose Garden cafe site. Survived by wife Jennie and sons Roy Ed Sidney of Seattle, daughter Mrs Frank Howard. Sidney a University of Washington student.

Henry Dale Enters Sheriff Race On Democratic Ticket
Henry Dale, local implement dealer, filed Friday on the Democratic ticket for sheriff. He arrived in Teton county in 1903 with family, homesteaded on Greenfields division of the Sun River project, and later moved to Chateau in 1925 to run a garage and implement business. He married Hilda Lee in 1908. they had five children and she died in 1918. Dale has not held office before.

Twin Lakes to Open Season May 28 With Dance and Supper
M D Powell owner and manager of Twin Lakes resort announced the 1932 season will start Saturday May 28. A dance and supper are planned for opening night and guests will be treated to a good time.
