Fishing Season Opens Sunday in Montana With New Licenses
Montana opens fishing season this Sunday May 18 with general waters. Residents 65 and over fish free until July 1 then require a 15 cent Pioneer License or 40 cent combination license. Children under 15 fish without a license but watch limits, nonresidents under 15 face limits. 70,000 fingerling trout planted at Eureka lake. limits allow 10 pounds and 1 fish of various trout plus 20 whitefish and 10 pounds brook trout in many areas. Final Sweepstakes Drawing Set For Saturday at Choteau Food
The fifth and last Sweepstakes drawing will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in front of Choteau Food Gambles and Olsen Agency. Last week two winners attended Mrs Clyde Dahl won 25 dollars and Mrs Henry Helf won 10 dollars. The absent second place winner Mrs Art Gebhart forfeited and her prize will boost this week’s second place to 30 dollars. First prize is 25 dollars and third is 10 dollars. The chamber thanks attendees and local merchants for support while noting dues remain slow and should be mailed to Secretary George Higgins. Fireworks Fund Shows Growth During Week

Baseball program financing needed at Chateau
Baseball enterprising program at Chateau attracts over 100 boys in Babe Ruth, Little League and Pee Wee Leagues. The baseball commission will print game programs with player pictures and names. Advertisers are being sought through local contacts to fund the growing program formerly financed by the Chateau American Legion.

Tree Planting Set For Eureka Sunday
One thousand Colorado Blue Spruce trees will be planted at Eureka lake, northwest of Chateau, this Sunday. Pete Howard of the Teton Sportmen's Association says equipment is arranged and a number of volunteers are needed starting at 3 am for preparation.
