Pioneer Widow Lorentz Hanson’s Wife Passes In Nebraska
Mrs Lorentz Hanson died at the old homestead near Herman after a long life as a pioneer. Born in Norway January 24 1852 she came to America in 1870 and married Lorentz Hanson in 1871. Surviving are nine children eight living in Idaho Nebraska Wyoming Illinois and Montana. 16 grandchildren.

Expose of a Cruel Hoax on Lewis and Clark Inscription
A Montana hoax claimed a three mile discovery with a crude inscription reading Lewis Clark 1805. Experts from Fergus County and Great Falls exposed the fraud by Colonel Stanford and Dr J A Sweat who showed the marks were recent fakes aided by moss and earth. Confessions followed and the guilty youths were turned over to parents.

Build Brick Across Teton Bridge Project Authorized
County commissioners voted to cooperate with forest officials to place a bridge across the Teton in the mountains east of the South Fork. The forestry department will build the bridge, with the county securing right of way for roads to connect Belleview country and the North Fork to the bridge. The project aims to provide access to Bar Mountain ranger station during high water. The board also allocated 150 for a county exhibit at the state fair and ordered a power lawn mower for courthouse lawn use.
