May stickers on 1976 Montana license plates require renewal at the courthouse. May decal holders who registered earlier in the year have until May 25 to renew for a year. licenses purchased before May 25 remain valid through April 30, 1977, with annual renewals in May thereafter.

Choteau High School inducted 24 students into the National Honor Society at a banquet in the Choteau United Methodist Church with Michael Schneller serving as master of ceremonies. The ceremony included faculty participation and introductions of new members.

Deputy Sheriff Fails To Catch Driver In Wild Goose Chase

Teton County deputies chase a white 1964 or 1965 Chevrolet with two bullet holes across county roads Interstate 15 and nearby areas starting in Dutton at 2 40 am. Deputy Jay Scott fired two shots when the driver attempted to run him down. Sheriff Pete Howard checked Pondera County plates in Conrad as part of the investigation. Parade Planning Session Set by Chateau Chamber

A special Chateau Chamber of Commerce meeting is scheduled for Tuesday May 18 at 7 a.m. at the Sip and Sup Cafe to discuss plans for the July 4 parade. The Chateau Public Schools bands will present a concert on Sunday May 9 at 8 p.m. Over 130 students participate across beginners intermediate and high school bands. The high school choir joins for the finale Make America Proud of You. Admission is 1 for adults and 50 cents for students without activity tickets.

Two Choteau Graduates Win Knautz Scholarships

March of Dimes Walk-a-Thon This Saturday

Choteau Jaycees host a March of Dimes Walk-a-Thon this Saturday starting at 9 a.m. from Chateau High School. Card Parties to Aid Monitor Fund at Teton Hospital

The Teton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary hosts a May week of card games to benefit the Heart Monitor fund. Proceeds go to the fund. Hosts include Lucille Lussenden and Marjorie Cannon with bridge, Miriam Johnson with pinochle, and Sharon Engh handling reservations by phone. Each party charges 2.50 per person with desserts and prizes.

Pre Registration Signup At Grade School

Registration for new kindergarten students entering Chateau Public Schools for the first time in the fall is scheduled Tuesday May 18 from 8 to 5 in room 41 of the grade school. Parents of students entering next fall are asked to attend during those hours.
