Max Hansen announced the sale of Superior Dairy in Choteau to Meadow Gold Dairy a Beatrice Foods unit. The Choteau plant will close as a processing site and become a depot run by Gordon Delger who will relocate with his family this June. Delger plans to expand Meadow Gold service in the area while retaining current staff.

Chateau Legion Auxiliary Seeks Labels for Seeing Eye Dogs
The Chateau American Legion Auxiliary announced a label saving campaign to raise funds for buying seeing eye dogs for the blind. Mrs. Jack Duffey urged area dog owners to save Vet dog food labels and drop them at Rex's Thriftway or Chateau Food Market. For every 100 labels collected, 50 cents will be donated.

Robert McDonald of Chateau was elected president of the Montana Arms Collectors Association in Great Falls for the coming year. The 121 member group held a show with nearly 2,000 attendees and 3,000 firearms plus antiques, coins, and artifacts. Debris Clearing Bid Awarded for Teton River Work
Cave Construction Inc of Great Falls has been awarded the Teton River debris clearance and channel work contract. County commissioner Martin Shannon said he learned of the award after a phone briefing with Army Corps of Engineers personnel. The project begins within 15 days of contract let on April 28 and must be finished in 75 days, including straightening the river channel removing debris and building levees on the east bank from the Teton road turnoff to Choteau.

Mrs Den Boer Dies in Conrad Rest Home
Mrs Elizabeth Den Boer a Pendroy resident died Sunday in a Conrad rest home. Funeral services were held at First Reformed Church in Conrad with Rev James Muddle officiating and burial in Hillside Cemetery. Born September 24 1871 in the Netherlands she immigrated to the county in 1902 and homesteaded with her husband in 1916. Surviving are two sons Peter Pendroy and Albert Dupu yer3 a daughter Anna Natte Slaton Minn plus 14 grandchildren 28 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
