Grade School Ali Baba Play Delights Local Audience
The Chateau Grade School presented Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves as a two act musical with lavish oriental sets and costumes. Miss Ruby Miller and Miss Charlotte Johnson led the production with strong student performances including Leslie Jourdonnais and June Lindseth. Gross receipts exceeded 130 dollars, with a possible balance for the school fund.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sidney C. Campbell were held at the Methodist church with Rev. E. R. Kaemmer delivering a sympathy filled address. The service drew a large crowd and many followed the hearse to the cemetery. Mrs. Campbell, born October 1895 at Brady Island Nebraska, 42 years old, was a mother of six and wife of Sidney C. Campbell who they married December 28 1907 in Helena. The family lived on a Blackleaf ranch and were well regarded in the community. Two of the children Austin and Margaret study at Teton county high school. others attend local public schools and remain in school.

The American forestry week display at Stockmen's building impressed visitors during two open days. Organized by the Choteau Woman's Club, Choteau Rod and Gun Club, and the forest office, it featured 169 native plant specimens, five tree samples, and mounted animals and birds. Lunch sales by the Woman's Club totaled about 20 dollars, with an estimated 150 meals served, implying around 750 visitors based on five visitors per lunch eater.

Oluf Lindseth aged 73 a Burton Beach pioneer died at his Farmington home from asthma. Born in Norway he emigrated to Red Wing Minnesota then moved to Montana in 1895 settling at Burton Beach. Survived by wife nine children and two brothers Dan and Ole. Burial in Farmington cemetery with Norwegian Lutheran church service at 2 PM Saturday.

Frank Hazelbaker, Beaverhead County senator, announced in Dillon last Friday his candidacy for the Republican nomination for lieutenant governor. A Kansas native who settled in Dillon, he taught school, became district court clerk in 1900, chairs the state Republican central committee, and served as executive commissioner for Montana at the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition. He was elected state senator in 1920 and faced no opposition for reelection in 1924.
