Third Liberty Loan Campaign Surpasses County Quotas

The Third Liberty loan campaign in Teton County and all localities oversubscribed their allotment. County Chairman Larson and local committees deserve congratulations for a successful drive. The county total reached 9194 600 with a state or county allotment of 131 000, showing over subscription of 2863 500.

Dutton Red Cross Notes at Beck School

An entertainment at Beck school near Dutton and Power district 44 on April 13 supported the Junior Red Cross. Pupils raised 45.48 from a watch sale. prizes total 12.00. Mr McFarland reports 26 pupils, all buying Thrift Stamps, forming war gardens and promising a Red Cross banner soon.

Soldiers Entertained Chiefs of Chateau Before Camp Lewis

Soldiers at Chateau gathered at the Glenloyd cafe for an 8 pm program to entertain recruits departing for Camp Lewis. Senator Larson acted as toastmaster while D L Beatty Dr McGregor George Magee A B Guthrie A DeYong Kyle Jones and Harry M Keenholtz spoke and S S Armstrong sang. A list of men in charge and those delayed or transferred to other camps is detailed with multiple towns and states.

Commencement Week At Teton County High School 1918 Class

The 1918 class includes Mildred Forrest Ethel Wallace Vandh Hall Irene Plummer Hazel Golder Etta Roberts Hazel Hane Merrill Luther Lawrence Jackson Oscar Lyon and others. Rev Hall preached the baccalaureate at the Methodist church and delivered an address to a large crowd. Faculty hosted a dinner at Glenloyd hotel. Class day featured a program with speeches plays songs and will prophecies and a class song. Commencement night to feature Rev Bennett of Great Falls and alumni banquet later at Glenloyd hotel and the Junior-Sophomore prom.
