New Council Forms Under Morgan and Appoints Officers
On Monday evening the new mayor J M Morgan and aldermen A J Flynn and R M Farring ton began their terms. They replaced retiring officials Jas Eckford Wm Hodgskiss and C A Cowell. Morgan resigned as alderman. E L Jourdonnais was elected to fill the seat. Committees were named with R M Farring ton as President of Council and J W Hall named Town Clerk and Engineer and Water Superintendent. Other appointments included J M Weaver as Marshall J E DeHaas as Police Magistrate and Dr H T Rhoads as Health Officer. A street safety post at Citizens Bank corner was approved to direct automobiles to keep right. Next council meeting set for May 13.
