Seed loan terms liberalized for county farmers
County Agent Robert Clarkson reports seed loan applications in Teton county may reach 175 this year down from 353 last season. Changes announced March 16 by National Director Washburton remove the $100 loan limit for delinquents, allowing consideration by credit risk and repayment ability. Carter Phelps notes adjustments may be made via Clarkson for first time applicants or those who have repaid in full or 25 percent.

Bullerdick Home Damaged by Fire Sunday Afternoon
Interior of Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Bullerdick’s home suffered heavy damage when a tub of gasoline used for laundry was ignited by a water heater flame. Mr. Bullerdick and his wife were slightly burned. fire spread quickly but neighbors, water from Spring Creek, and the department kept flames in check. Insurance covers the loss.

Scouts Plan Rally at Dutton Monday
R. D. Cook from Great Falls met with Scoutmaster Arnold Hanusa and the local troop. They hiked the Teton and cooked supper as intertroop rally practices took place for the upcoming rally at Dutton with Chateau, Conrad and Dutton troops. A board of review will be held Saturday afternoon to test scouts before the court of honor. Forest Ranger L. J. Howard offers a mountains trip if they win the rally banner.

Three bridges will be built and grading begun on a four mile road from canyon entrance to the Middle Fork. Supreme Court to decide restoration of $5 auto license fee
The case challenges reinstating the $5.00 license fee for cars after an enrolling error set it at $10. Governor Erickson signed the law with the higher figure. If the $5 rate is restored refunds may be due from the state treasurer or the registrar of motor vehicles. The Supreme Court has yet to act on two affidavits seeking mandamus against the registrar. The suit was brought by Mayor Archie McTaggart of Butte and Ray N. Shannon of Thompson Falls.

A crew of volunteers aided by R F C Relief workers have repaired and painted the Methodist church exterior this week. About 10 workers daily under Joe Knudtzon, with paint donated by John Hentges of Chateau Hardware Co, and cream color with door and trim shades planned. The roof was painted. the Ladies Industrial served meals, and a public dinner fed 140 to 150 with net proceeds near $40.

Fire Hazard Razed Behind Grover Parker Residence
The stable at the rear of the Grover Parker home on Second Avenue Southwest was dismantled this week by R F C relief workers under city direction. Several abandoned structures condemned as fire hazards are slated for tearing down. The barn was built years ago by John Graves, a pioneer now living in the Collings community.
