Judge H H Ewing of the eighth district presided last Friday in Great Falls for the regular March term. A large docket included civil probate and one criminal action over alleged horse theft by Gustav A Tornquist. Tornquist pled not guilty and posted $1,000 bail with Pete Nasse and O W Anderson as bondsmen.

Shelby All-Stars defeated the Racketeers 33 to 24 in a Saturday night basketball contest played before a small crowd. Freeman A. Daley of this city is appointed superintendent of building a new state park on the old Fort Assiniboine reservation near Havre by Beaver Creek. About 50 Teton county farmers left for territory north of Cut Bank to study strip farming.
