Teton Wheat Farmers Visit Glacier County
A group of 45 Teton county farmers and farm women toured Glacier county to study strip farming in dryland wheat. Led by Fred Willson, the visit assessed strip widths from 16 to 20 rods and noted wide strips causing soil piling. County Agent Al White coordinated the tour with 12 car caravan destinations and a post-tour discussion at the Lindberg farm.

Puriner promotion brings W E Howard Jr to lead five McCracken stores with headquarters in Livingston effective April 1. County Surveyor Obert Peterson announced plans to upgrade the main road west of Chateau into Belleview with 17 miles of grading and improvements. A new mucking machine arrived in Milwaukee to help road work, while concrete culverts are being built behind the poor farm using available gravel.

Drive for Scout funds begins tomorrow in Choteau
A three part fundraising drive starts tomorrow to raise 425 dollars for Choteau Boy Scouts. Of this, 325 goes to area council expenses and local visitation, 125 to sending a scout to the Washington jamboree with 225 due by April 1, and 375 for Scout lodge maintenance at the mouth of Te ton canyon. Scoutmaster Sturgis notes four boys have qualified for Washington, with 32 total scouts aimed for the troop.

Harlemites and Swedes battle to a dramatic 56 55 overtime victory
In Teton county high gym last Saturday the Harlemite team and Olson's Terrible Swedes fought a tight game that ended 46 46 in regulation and went to a three minute overtime. The Harlemites edged ahead and pulled out a 56 55 win as Shaffer Campbell and Moore led scoring and the crowd roared at the finish.

Band Dance Successful Next on Fairfield List
A Saturday night band dance drew a large turnout after the basketball game to raise funds for regular band uniforms. Some attendees bought tickets and additional cash donations supported the cause. A nine member orchestra with helpers provided the music. The next dance will be held Saturday at the Sons of Norway hall with tickets at 75 cents.
