At the 34th North Montana Hereford Breeders bull show on March 9 Silver Casper 40th owned by Nick Vlinker Chateau captured the grand championship and the following day sold for a top price of 1830. Forty two bulls were entered. Teton Paladin owned by Lowry Larson Bynum was reserve grand champion. A Belt ranch bull took third and a Wiiiker bull fourth. Silver Casper 40th was bought by Teton Valley Ranch Dut ton. E W Thompson paid 1000 for Silver Casper 46th. Average sale price for 42 bulls was 602.50 totaling 25315. This compares with prior years. Other top ten bulls and buyers included Teton Paladin D46 bought by Margaret C Murphy Lloyd Proud Princeps 58 bought by Raleigh R Smith Great Falls etc.

Colony Moves Overflow Across Border To Canada
About 48 Hutterite families from the New Rockport Colony east of Chateau migrate back to Canada after failing to secure more land near the Gault place. They have bought 20 sections from the Ware Ranch near Brooks northwest of Medicine Hat and report buildings completed with 1500 sheep and 300 cattle purchased for the new site. Paul Hofer leads the colony.

The 1955 Teton County March of Dimes drive ended March 15 with a county total of 5879.91 dollars. Dutton led, raising 3176.38 for polio prevention and care, per capita giving among the nation’s highest. Gunder A Prestino Dies at 76 in Conrad
Funeral services were held at 2 PM yesterday in Conrad for Gunder A Prestino 76 who died Saturday after a long illness. Born in Trondheim Norway he came to the U S in 1898 and lived in North Dakota Minnesota. He married Lilian Greene in 1910 who preceded him in death. He worked as a carpenter for the Indian Service until retirement in 1947 leaving two sons Harold Conrad and George Georgia one daughter Mrs John Pay Dupuyer and nine grandchildren.

Forest Service employee finds radiosonde near Twin Lakes
J K Snappy Stensen of the U S Forest Service Choteau picked up a radiosonde March 3 near Twin Lakes 26 miles NW of Choteau. It was identified by the Radiosonde Recon ditioning Center Joliet as released from Great Falls Weather Bureau Airport Station. The Joliet engineer said the instrument and parts can be salvaged to aid upper air data for forecasts and storm warnings.

The Rocky Mountain College A Cappella Choir directed by Philip E.
