Truck Hit By Train At Stupor Crossing North Of Choteau
Western Geophysical panel truck driven by Robert Cornett of Farmington collided with Great Northern engine No 374 at the Stupor crossing about 5 45 p m last Saturday. Cornett received fractured ribs and minor cuts and was treated at Choteau hospital. he was released Tuesday. The train engines and crew were uninjured and the truck was badly wrecked.

Trinity Lutheran Church Nears Completion in Choteau Expansion
The Trinity Lutheran Church at Choteau has more than doubled in size after a year of enlarging and renovating. A 30 by 40 foot addition is finished, with new south side rooms and an expanded 400 plus seating capacity. The project features eight Sunday school rooms, a pastor’s study, a larger kitchen, a choir area, four heating units, and enhanced acoustics with Nuwood tile and asbestos flooring. Carpeting is due to be laid soon, extending from the chancel to the rear of the church.

Wilson Gray Injured in Oregon Car Wreck
Wilson Gray formerly of Cho teau is seriously hurt after a Friday night crash near Burns Oregon. He and wife Mrs Gray were driving a trailer-equipped car from Montana to Phoenix Arizona when icy roads caused the accident. Mrs Gray sustained only slight injuries while Gray was taken to Valley View hospital Burns for X rays and evaluation.

At a Choteau Lions Club meeting, John Dunckel and Supt. R C Graham outlined plans for a proposed new grade school and high school addition. They said the project would be financed with state aid covering about half the cost, sparing local taxpayers.
