Seventh and Eighth Graders Keep Thrift Stamp Pace
Reports show seventh and eighth grades lagging on thrift stamp quotas but expect to meet targets. A Saturday party for grade girls is planned by Lucille Sturgeon. The eighth grade now studies modern history on Fridays. Fiske Strang was injured Saturday and missed Monday. The fifth grade, Kesley Hall, is absent with a cold. There are no classes for the unfortunates in the world.

On Tuesday morning a kitchen range fire at the home of J. K. Maghz swept through the house, destroying all but a few store room items. Firemen could not save contents due to dense smoke. Neighbors provided clothing while the family, uninsured, faced total loss despite partial insurance on the residence.
