Farmers join forces as Chateau county club plans fair
A Cha teau county commercial club meeting Thursday night set a committee of five to study the cost and feasibility of a large fair on Chateau grounds and to gauge resident support. George F Miller and Ian Cain raised over five hundred dollars in memberships. A $1 yearly outside membership fee was adopted and George M Coffey resigned as secretary, to be replaced by A H Doughty.

A daughter was born to Mr and Mrs Van Brunt of Fairfieldington on Tuesday. A report of sale of the hospital is false. operations continue under current management. Mrs W B Howard had surgery on Wednesday. Norman Leech of UK Bank is a hospital patient. Geo Flanagan recently arrived from Indiana contracted pneumonia and is being cared for at the hospital.

The postponed hard time dance will be held Saturday night March 15. Walter Haskell visited the Riggins and Palmer Wiseman homes last Sunday. Ray and McKenzie recently returned from Clarkston Washington and will reside at the J H McKenzie ranch west of Chateau. Mrs McKenzie is Carl Riggins niece. Glen Wiseman spent a weekend at the Palmer Wiseman ranch.
