Great Falls attorney E. J. Stromnes sues Great Northern Railway Co. and three railroad workers for an accident on May 4 1945 at Chateau seeking 30 000 in damages plus 80 000 claimed. He alleges he slipped while boarding a moving Pendroy to Great Falls train, was dragged hundreds of feet and suffered multiple knee injuries with medical costs of over 4 000 and lost earnings totaling over 60 000 with future losses. Walter G Dauwalder dies at 59 in Choteau area
Walter Glenn Dauwalder 59 prominent resident of the Bole and Choteau communities died at his home in Choteau Friday after a five month battle with cancer. He lived in Teton county since 1913 and served as rural mail carrier on the Choteau Bole route. He was active in the Lions club I O O F Te ton Memorial Hospital association and the Teton county high school board. Born May 7 1888 in Olney Illinois he was the son of Jacob and Mary Day. Burial was in the Chateau cemetery after services at the Methodist church conducted by Rev Harold Engdahl. A nurse Esther Johnson was at his bedside. Continued on page four.
