Savage, organizer of Boys State in Montana and department vice chairman of the summer camp, urged vigilance as Europe regresses toward regimentation and warned that efforts to undermine the constitution threaten liberty and education.

The Te ton Memorial hospital project needs 8 471 more dollars to reach 180 000 for a fully equipped building. Directors await Helena processing to call for bids while donors rally, with 9 298 50 raised in the past week and 31 528 35 saved of 40 000 target for March. Federal aid may total not less than 60 000 if the balance is raised promptly.

Circles of the Methodist church at Chateau report the most successful potluck dinner held last Friday night. After expenses, $320 was turned over to the Teton Memorial Hospital. church ladies thanked the public for the generous response.

Negro Quartet To Sing Monday At High School

The National Assemblies of Los Angeles will bring the Mississippi Jubilee Singers to Chateau High School auditorium next Monday March 8 at 3 pm. The quartet, directed by Thomas J Pruitt of Berkeley, features Thomas J Pruitt Vernon Dunn Richard Williams and Howard Hall with a program of negro spirituals and plantation melodies. Copper Mining Film Shown At Lutheran Meeting Sunday

A color film about Montana copper mining and smelting produced by the Anaconda Copper Mining Co. will be shown Sunday at 8 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church parlor in Chateau. The documentary follows miners, smelter workers, and loggers from Butte to Anaconda and Great Falls with aerial views and underground sequences.

Hutterite Crashes Truck in Bynum and Girl Injured in Fairfield

Elias E Hofer of the Rockport colony near Pendray received a ticket from Patrolman Henry Helf for overturning a truck in the center of Bynum near the Catholic church. In Fairfield a motorcycle wreck injured a 10 year old girl, Mimalee Dunning, who was learning to ride. rider Bill Johnson and the girl were involved, Johnson jailed overnight and fined 15 dollars. A 1947 Studebaker overturned on the Simms Fairfield highway with unknown driver.

Snow Cat Checks Snow in Teton Canyon Tests

Forest Service teams test snow moisture with a Snow Cat in Teton Canyon over a weekend. Ranger Jack Hinman Chateau and Cleo Arps join R. A. Work of the US Soil Conservation Service to measure depth water content and density at Fright Creek Waldron Creek and West Fork to forecast stream flow irrigation potential and blizzard control. Tests will continue with stations on the North Fork of the Teton and plans to cover the Sun River drainage next year.
