The city of Choteau will take over operation of the park pavilion after a June council meeting attended by American Legion representatives. Plans include modernizing the facility with plumbing and a kitchen, possibly this summer or in fall.

Tot Toggery Set to Open About Aug at Larson Block
The Tot Toggery, a store dedicated to infant and child products, plans an Aug 1 opening in the Larson block on First Street Northwest, in space formerly used by Montana Power Co. Mr and Mrs Leigh Nett will operate it. They will offer infants’ wear, children’s wear, tots’ shoes, gift items and ready to wear for ages from one day to school age, stocking nationally advertised goods. The couple will present a diaper and bottle bag to the first mother visiting the new Teton Memorial hospital stork. Most merchandise has arrived. shoes are due soon.

Rodeo producers Zumwalt and Lake announce an enlarged show with top riding stock for the Choteau event. Drownings in Lake Francis Linked to Sanday Wind Storm
Two men drowned at Lake Francis near Valier during a Sunday wind storm. Robert Floyd of Great Falls air base and John Sanders of Conrad were identified. Floyd's body washed ashore later that day while Sanders remained missing. Two others escaped, including William Moon and Bob Sporleder.
