The Teton Memorial, to be dedicated this Sunday, will be operated by the Lutheran Hospitals and Homes society. The hospital association signed a lease with the society, organized in 1938 to manage Christian hospitals and homes, with Fargo North Dakota as its central office.

Hail Damages Winter Wheat in East Teton County
A severe hailstorm last Sunday afternoon damaged winter wheat in the eastern part of Teton county, hitting Brady and Doheny east of Dutton while sparing farms around Dutton and Power. The storm began at 3 30 p m, extending 8 to 12 miles eastward into Chouteau county. Rain totaled about .60 inches at Choteau by noon today. much rain followed.

Pair Receive Pen Terms From Judge
Dewey Salois of Choteau was sentenced to five years in the state penitentiary at Deer Lodge for second degree assault involving a minor girl. Judge R M Hattersley handed down the sentence after Salois pleaded guilty. Joe Bruno of Choteau also received five years for forging a $42.50 check on Citizens State Bank after pleading guilty. Bruno had prior forgery convictions. Both men were taken to Deer Lodge Friday night. Jim Hughes of Choteau was released on 2000 bail after information filed for a second degree assault against Bernard Johnson. Hughes has not yet pleaded and will plead by July 13.

Bis Air Base Band to Play At Celebration
The 35 piece 695th Air Force band from Great Falls east air base will entertain Choteau for the July Fourth celebration. They will lead the 11 am parade, perform at 1 pm downtown, and appear in the afternoon rodeo arena. A nine member dance orchestra and an old time dance are also planned with additional local bands providing music.

NAAC planes will spray Chateau for mosquitoes on a morning within the next 12 days. A Chamber of Commerce committee announces the plan and the city has purchased oil likely to mark cars or clothes. Town of Dutton Settles Water Warrant Debt Early
Dutton city council approved a resolution to pay 17 515 16 to the state of Montana 2 0, retiring the water system warrants nine years early and saving about 7 146 for taxpayers. The council has retired twelve 1 000 sewer bonds, leaving 82 000 outstanding, with plans for a new graded road to the town dump and street improvements.

Winner Kills 249 Magpies In Local Drive
Wearley of the Augusta vicinity captured the top prize in a magpie drive by the Teton Sportsmen's Association. He brought 67 old magpies 182 young birds and 330 eggs earning 22.40 dollars for the haul plus a brand new fly rod. The association paid 110.29 dollars this year with 9220 last year. Second prize went to Bruce Anderson automatic reel and third to Bobby Hanson automatic reel. Fourth through seventh places listed.
