Jimmie Clark Arrested Over Fine Black Team in Augusta
James Clark a Blackfeet from the reservation was arrested June 18 in Augusta after attempting to sell a fine black team branded Kipp. Deputy Sheriff Christian took him before Justice Covington, where Clark confessed the theft from the reservation. He has prior jail records in northern Montana and is held in Lewis and Clark county jail.

County Commissioner Details Sheep Deaths and Punishment
County Commissioner C H Pearson of Conrad told the Acantha about a flock of sheep left by a herder in a corral without feed or water. Forty to fifty sheep died from Tuesday noon to Saturday morning before herdings were optimized. Allbright, the herder, received six months in the county jail and is serving time, with Pearson calling the punishment appropriate.

Belleview June 24 Sheriff Mc Kenzie tracked a prisoner who fled Chateau last week and caught him at Raymond. Osgood reports a rainful accident as Willow Creek overflowed washing out garden plots and the colt-crossing incident injured a horseman. Fred Ward sold his sheep band to Mr Twiggs for four dollars per yearling.
