The Choteau Chamber of Commerce board opts to hire Johnson Flying Service to spray insecticides over Cho teau and nearby stations. Estimated cost is 500 dollars, funded by household contributions, with spraying to begin when weather permits and guaranteed effects lasting months.
County Agent Kelly reports unprecedented rainfall across Teton County through 1947 with June alone reaching 8.6 inches. The growing season totals exceed prior records, causing widespread crop damage and washouts on about 180 bridges and 15 county roads remaining impassable.
Choteau hosts a two day rodeo with 1800 prize money and night dances at the American Legion Pavilion led by Jerry Been. Rev H I Engdahl officiated at the Choteau Methodist church with Stenson supported by her father. The gown was white satin brocade with a long train and fingertip veil. The couple plan to live in Bozeman after a reception with many local relatives attending.
The Chateau school board meeting scheduled for July 8 has been postponed. The agenda includes business matters, transportation issues, and district grade school concerns. The clerk or supervisor urged attendees planning to join this fall to confirm their attendance.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Chateau Lutheran church for Everett Frederick Breding 35 lifelong Agawam resident who died June 17 after a two year illness. He was born January 1 1913 in Agawam son of Mr and Mrs William Breding. He attended local schools, worked in farming and married Kashern Toren August 3 1937 in Great Falls. Survived by two sons Delbert Everett and Dompald Harold and three sisters Mrs Ed Alzheimer Collins Mrs Lambert T ren Farmington and Mrs Leonard Viebrock. Officiants Rev Oceg Johnson Conrad and Rev A B Gravdal Chateau. Burial at the cemetery.
The Lions club sponsors a July 2 movie at the Roxy theater with two films King of the Olympics and Olympic Cavalcade. Proceeds will support civic activities. advance tickets planned. Carl Wedum presented local pictures and Gib son Monkman’s Lions convention photos were shown.
Paul Verdon a senior journalism student at Montana State University became summer editor of the Chateau Acantha. He resides in Missoula where he serves as campus president of Sigma Delta Chi the professional journalism fraternity. J Coffey and Pat Campbell left yesterday for a several week stay in New York City.
Funeral services and burial were held for 10 year old出生 Bynum youth at Molese on August 30, 1937. Survived by grandparents Jensen and Mr. and Mrs Boulder Utah, with Eider Lay Stott listed in the service record.
