Harry Price Dies at 67 in Choteau Community
Funeral services for Harry E. Price 67 were held at the Choteau Methodist church. He died at his home Tuesday after a cancer illness that worsened over seven months. Survived by wife and daughter Waneta of Shelby, plus two aunts in Kansas and Illinois, with many distant relatives. Price, born January 21 1881 in Downs Indiana lived in Chicago and Hutchinson before homesteading north of Bole in 1913 and later moving to Chateau. Burial in Chateau cemetery following services led by Rev. H L Engdahl. Pallbearers listed as Neal Van Wichen, C W Boussard, Paul Mathis, Joe Walkington, Ray Dickenson, Ralph Clayton.

One Man Killed In Car Wreck North of Dutton
A Tuesday evening collision on the Bootlegger trail near the old McDonald ranch northwest of Genoa left Elmer LaFave dead and his father William LaFave unconscious. Al don Black drove the truck from Dutton. he aided the crash victims before transport to Conrad hospital.

At close of business May 31 the county treasurer reports that of the 1947 tax charge totaling 742137.19, 38441.12 remains unpaid. Real estate taxes are 92.81 percent collected and all taxes 93.36 percent. Personal property tax not attached to real estate totals 50891.92 with 17.26 still outstanding. For 1948 year 1546 truck plates 1940 car plates 111 trailer plates and 3579 drivers permits have been issued.
