Cars Now Travel Stevens Pass Route Over Rockies
A. G. Leadaman and party visiting Glacier National Park stayed with Mr and Mrs R. E. Nelson on Monday while en route home to Deer Lodge. Leadaman, a Deer Lodge banker, and his group are among many who have successfully crossed the new Stevens Pass highway. He noted tough sections, incomplete bridges, and needed detours and fords. About 100 cars reportedly passed through the route on Wednesday.
