Truck Crash Injures Two Hogs and Riders Near DeSmet
A truck carrying 16 hogs from Polson to Missoula overturned on a hill a mile west of DeSmet. Drivers R D Watson and George Sharpe of Polson suffered bruises but no serious injuries. several hogs were injured and the truck, cab, and cargo sustained damage. A Missoula garage tow truck pulled it back to Missoula for repair.

Fire Chief Resigns and Forest Wardens Return
Montana forestry officials announce the return of volunteer forest wardens who may arrest offenders on the road.
