Crop rotation boosts yields on irrigated lands, Montana study shows
The Montana experiment station reports soil fertility depends on rotation and manuring. Trials reveal barley and oats doubled after peas or red clover, and spring wheat yields rose sharply when preceded by peas, red clover, or alfalfa.
